we have learned a few things from our recent foray into the flavoring of snaps/aquavit...
- the horseradish snaps should only be allowed to steep with the horseradish in it for 24 hours. if you let it go a week, it's WAY too much horseradish, but at 24 hours, it's awesome.
- fresh apples make the snaps a pretty apple-juice color, but don't make it taste that apple-y.
- dried apples, steeped for one week together with cinnamon and cloves = heavenly.

Anyway - I did brandied fruits this year, which are not yet decanted, but I'll post when I do.
