a 7-year-old's b-day party in denmark

attended nephew's 7th birthday party this evening. ya gotta love a country where such a birthday party looks like this...


why yes, that is my wine. thank you very much for filling it with that lovely south african chenin blanc/chardonnay blend.

I think wine should be mandatory at all children's parties. Makes it much nicer for the parents.

Suddenly fear of having children and consequently need to host childrens birthday parties is slowly melting away... why yes, I will have another glass...

i do love denmark very much. i love they they will drink wine at childrens parties, because it makes so much sense. I love that they have little danish flags at parties and at the airport when they pick people up. I have a craving for frikadeller and rugbrud med (grov) leverpostej right now. I grew up in Denmark. I love it.

Very civilised...must remember to drink wine at my own children's birthday parties. Not for the other parents, just for me...

Wine and grown-up food is always available at my kid's birthday parties. Because I hate going to parties where there isn't anything but juice boxes and warm pizza and bad cake.
