an interview with tracy from living in the great state of south carolina

i met tracy back last winter when i was making my clarity birds. she wanted a whole flock of them as she prepared herself mentally (and physically) for life-changing gastric-bypass surgery. back then, her blog shared historical tidbits about her area, but i can see that she's branching out. this is her interview:

1. what do you like best about rainy days?

Curling up with a good book.

2. what's your favorite season?

Fall--living so close to the mountains, the view is great when the leaves start changing colors.

3. did your clarity birds bring you any moments of perfect clarity?

yes--mainly on my job--dealing with almost 1000 calls a day-- having a bird on my computer helps.

4. do you think blog friends are as real as in-person friends?

yes-very much so!

5. coffee or tea?

Tea--there's nothing like sweet tea with fresh lemon, but now I have to use splenda in my tea.

6. what era would you live in if you could choose?

Tudor Era (England)--I love studying the food and life style of this period.

7. what's the best book you ever read?

That's a hard question--I just finished The Cross Gardener. Great book with a good meaning!

8. what do you do when you need to relax and get away from it all?

Take a drive to the mountains.

9. mac or pc?

For now I have a pc--but in the near future I hope to buy a mac. Greenville has just opened an apple store and I have flipped over everything they have.

10. if you could have three wishes, what would they be?

~ Wish one: I hope my daughter will have a long and good life. I also hope all her dreams will come true.
~ Wish two: I would love to live in a small village in England and have my own bookstore (lyme regis area)
~ Wish three: no more hunger in the world.

* * *

those are lovely wishes, tracy. thank you for wanting to be interviewed!
