have you seen the news? the new maersk line triple-E: the largest, most efficient ship in the world
and they've ordered ten of these babies. and if they're claiming it holds 18,000 containers, it probably holds more like 23,000. exciting stuff and a good sign that someone's starting to order ships again!
My first thought, don't sail near Somalia, big ships are easily spotted.
Second, efficient bulk carriers could actually stimulate more trade between countries - and that's a good thing.
Third, somewhat like the huge oversized plane from Airbus which requires airports to modify runways and terminals and hire additional staff for that plane ... do you know if this new ship will "fit" most ports?

Yes, they've ordered 10, with an option for another 20!
