hurricane force winds blew through last night.
they've settled down a bit,
but haven't yet died out completely.
and yet i feel peaceful.
a bit washed clean.
floaty even.
there's something about a good wind.
it's cleansing.
and sweeps all the tension away.

The wind picked up here in the early hours of the morning, I love how it stirs things up and feels like change.
Wind is not our friend. The ground is a soaked sponge from the rain and the tall trees have shallow roots and vulnerable to winds. The effect is often devastating. Houses are crushed, roads are blocked with downed trees and electrical service can be out for many days.
We've got a big wind here today which is fairly typical for this part of Arizona, I'm letting it lift me up and take me across country for a visit to the Carolinas, a place i've never been.
