unfolding


i awoke this sunny spring morning,
filled with such a sense of hope.
eagerly looking forward to the day,

the week,

the month,

the year.

feeling like a butterfly.
unfolding out of my chrysalis,
spreading my wings.

breathlessly taking flight.

it's time.
