rapturous skies

according to trending topics on twitter, the rapture is coming. i'm not sure who decided it (i hope it wasn't donald trump), as that's not really clear from 140 characters or less. it seems most people tend to be using those musing as to what they're going to wear when the end comes. but after a rainy and rather chilly couple of days, the sun broke through this evening and one could practically see the rapture on the horizon. hmmm, i wonder what i should wear...

I've been so out of touch that I missed the Blogger meltdown so it's possible I could miss the Rapture too.

The Blogger meltdown--perhaps in anticipation of the rapture? In any case, this is an amazing photo. Cheers.

Harold Camping decided it through his numerology. He also decided the world would end in 1994, and wrote an entire book about it. That came and went and yet he still has multitudes of followers. I listen to Christian radio, but his particular approach is so didactic and ignores very specific scriptures warning against being too sure of yourself, especially when it comes to the end of the world.

Since this is his second attempt at predicting the date I'm thinking he's wrong but who knows? Maybe on Saturday I'll be a little sorry about making fun of him. A little.

I wonder which time zone he expects it to happen for, seeing as the start to Saturday is relative to the spot on Earth occupied.

we are having an "end of the world" party on Saturday, it only seems natural, since i'm sure we won't be the ones getting called up ;)

Beautiful, beautiful sky.

I highly doubt the end is nigh, but if it was, surely that's the day to wear your favourite clothes of all time!

I'm pretty sure I'm staying home. Do you think if you go I could please have your leather slippers? Ha! :o)

luckily neither I nor the band are Christian so if it does happen, the concert's still going on.
